Energy Outreach Colorado receives funding support from Namaste Solar campaign

Energy Outreach Colorado received significant proceeds raised by Namaste Solar’s Keep the Lights on Colorado campaign. The annual October effort brought together 14 corporate sponsors and 66 individual donors raising $50,000 to provide 116 vulnerable families with energy cost saving community solar subscriptions.

This is the fourth year that Namaste Solar has organized the month-long campaign which has raised a total of $284,000 helping 1,031 income-qualifying households afford their home energy costs.

“Since energy costs have risen an extraordinary amount. Many of the households who receive help from this campaign are in crisis so, the impact of this long-term financial relief is significant. I’m really proud of the number of corporate partners and individuals we’ve been able to pull together to raise over a quarter million dollars over the last four years,” said Jenna Stadsvold, Co-Owner and Brand Manager at Namaste Solar.

“These funds will be invested in community solar subscriptions and emergency bill assistance to support Colorado families to better afford their energy costs both in the short and long term,” said Tess Richey, VP of Development at Energy Outreach Colorado. “We couldn’t be more grateful to extend these critical services to more people in need.”

Energy Outreach Colorado has been a leading expert on issues impacting income-qualified energy consumers for more than 30 years. Through strong public and private partnerships, the statewide nonprofit has raised and leveraged millions of dollars to reduce energy costs and usage for Coloradans.
