Skip Arnold

Skip Arnold, Executive Director, joined Energy Outreach Colorado in 2003 after a 25-year career at Xcel Energy and its predecessor companies New Century Energies and Public Service Co. His prior positions included vice president of Customer Care and vice president and controller for the Retail Business Unit. A native Coloradan, Skip is a graduate of the University of Colorado, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business and an MBA.

James Bradshaw, Senior Project Manager, has been with Energy Outreach nearly four years and in the construction management industry more than 15 years. He holds degrees in Construction Management and Facilities Management from Brigham Young University, with minors in Business, Spanish, and Music. James enjoys spending time with his family, playing the guitar and piano and sports. Dan Fogelberg is his musical hero, the Denver Broncos are his favorite team to follow, and he is a youth coach in football, basketball and baseball.

AndyCaler

Andy Caler, Utility Program Manager, joined Energy Outreach in early 2014.  His background in energy ranges from auditing single-family homes to managing large efficiency and renewable energy projects.  His focus on low-income programs results from his time  working on the Weatherization Assistance Program for the Department of Energy and Colorado Energy Office.  Andy is a graduate of the University of Kansas, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.  Outside of work, he enjoys taking advantage of both city and mountain life with his family and friends.

Lalo2

Lalo Diaz, Construction Manager, joined Energy Outreach Colorado in 2013 with an extensive background in residential and commercial construction, including tenant finishing and core work.  Before coming to EOC he worked with two Housing Authorities in Colorado and with several non-profits in the housing industry.  Most recently he was with Rocky Mountain Communities and was responsible for multi-family communities in three state, including Colorado.  He enjoys working in a career that helps individuals improve their lives.

Ashley Feiertag, Manager of the Multifamily Weatherization Program, has been with Energy Outreach Colorado since 2010. Her background is in real estate and construction management, and she worked as a project manager for a general contractor for 10 years. She enjoys playing outside, skiing, hiking, tennis, and spending time with her family.

shannon

Shannon Francis (Hopi/Dineh), joined EOC in 2015 as a program assistant. Shannon has a diverse non-profit accounting and administrative background and also is a certified Permaculture Design Instructor. She focuses on Indigenous Permaculture, the weaving of Traditional Ecological Knowledge with innovative science, and is one of the few female Indigenous Permaculturalist in the Rocky Mountain and Southwestern regions. Her passion is instilling reciprocal relationships by connecting people to the natural world through seeds, soil and the elements. Shannon received the 2015 Cesar E. Chavez female leadership award and the 2014-2015 Justin B. Willie Humanitarian awards for her work with Indigenous gardening, food justice and community building projects. She comes from 12 generations of earth caretakers and seed keepers. As an active educator, Shannon has presented and taught widely on permaculture design. She currently is practicing Indigenous Permaculture with the Denver Indian Family Resource, Four Winds American Indian Council and Rocky Ridge Boarding School on the Navajo Nation.

Maggie

Maggie George, Program Assistant, joined Energy Outreach Colorado in November 2013. She has a background in education, contracts management, and executive support and is excited to bring this experience to her work at EOC. She received a B.A. in Communication from SUNY Geneseo and an M.A. in Communication from the University of Colorado. Maggie is originally from Ithaca, NY and enjoys traveling back to the East Coast to visit family and friends. Her hobbies include yoga, live music, painting, and exploring Colorado.

Jennifer Gremmert

Jennifer Gremmert is Deputy Director of Energy Outreach Colorado and is responsible for program management and advocacy activities for the organization.  Previously, Ms. Gremmert worked for numerous nonprofit organizations including Urban Peak, a shelter for homeless youth, the national office of Junior Achievement in Colorado Springs, Up With People, the University of Arizona and the University of California system.  Ms. Gremmert received her Masters of Nonprofit Management from Regis University and her undergraduate degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of Arizona.  Ms. Gremmert currently serves on the Advisory Board for the National Energy and Utility Assistance Coalition and on the Governor’s Commission on Low-Income Energy Assistance in Colorado.

Enrique Hernandez has recently joined the EOC team as Manager of the Utility Assistance Program. He worked for almost a decade in the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP), overseeing the application process and developing program policy. Before that, he served four years in the US Army. He earned his BA in Philosophy from Nyack College and is a fan of good comedy. He enjoys spending weekends hiking and road tripping with his wife and two sons. Enrique is excited to be part of an organization that strongly advocates for the most vulnerable in our community.

Peggy Hofstra

Peggy Hofstra, Marketing Director, has been with Energy Outreach since 2003. She has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Drake University and an MBA from the University of Colorado at Denver. Her background includes newspaper journalism, public relations, corporate communications and marketing. She enjoys photography, tennis, and spending time with her family.

Luke Ilderton

Luke Ilderton, Director of Energy Efficiency Programs, is an engineer who specializes in renewable energy and energy efficiency projects focused on the under-served, low-income population of Colorado. Luke consulted for EOC for several years before joining the team in December 2009. He has a BA in History and Religious Studies from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and a BS in Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. He enjoys any recreational activity in Colorado’s beautiful mountains!

Katharine Keenan joined EOC in early 2015 as Utility Assistance Program Assistant. Prior to that, she worked briefly as a temp in EOC’s Development department. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than a decade. She holds a bachelor’s degree in French from Oberlin College. In her spare time, she likes running, hiking, yoga, and working in her plot at the Englewood Community Garden.

Amy Kusek

Amy Kusek, Development Director, joined Energy Outreach in October 2012. Her background is in corporate and individual fundraising and management. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Doane College and a master’s degree in management from Regis University. She serves on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity of Colorado and for Leadership Aurora, through the Aurora Chamber of Commerce. Her hobbies include traveling, running half-marathons, watching Cornhusker football and staying in touch with friends throughout the country.

Shaina

Shaina Morris, Development Associate, helps with grants and fundraising at EOC. She has a BA in English Literature and Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Colorado and received her JD from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. After passing the bar exam, Shaina joined the non-profit world as Grants Coordinator for Family Tree, one of EOC’s partnering agencies.  In her spare time she enjoys Irish step dancing, reading fairytales with her niece, and taking her dog for walks in Boulder.

Nicole O’Connor

Nicole O’Connor manages the Energy Behavior Change program by helping staff and residents learn new ways to save energy. She originally joined EOC as an Urban Servant Corps volunteer. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys playing tennis and taking advantage of all of the outdoor adventures that Colorado has to offer.

Rose Reed

Rose Reed, Administrative Services Director, has been with Energy Outreach Colorado since 2002. Her background is in budgeting, accounting and office administration. She enjoys boating, sports and spending time with her friends and family - especially her grandchildren.

Val EOC Pix

Valerie Rick, Multifamily Program Assistant, joined EOC in January of 2014.  She has a degree in Musical Theatre Performance from American Music and Dramatic academy in NYC.  She and her husband moved to Denver and opened a coffee shop that ran until 2010.  Then, for the past 4 years, she became the lead singer of a very busy Denver-based funk/dance band.  In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family, write and record original music, and sing at small clubs with her guitar/vocal duo.

H Skating

Hilary Kushnir Taylor, Nonprofit Energy Efficiency Program Manager, has been with Energy Outreach Colorado since 2010. She has a background in engineering with a focus on energy efficiency. She also has experience in real estate, primarily with historical buildings. Hilary’s hobbies include cooking and ice skating, and she enjoys spending time with her family and dogs.
