Skip Arnold, Executive Director, joined Energy Outreach Colorado in 2003 after a 25-year career at Xcel Energy and its predecessor companies New Century Energies and Public Service Co. His prior positions included vice president of Customer Care and vice president and controller for the Retail Business Unit. A native Coloradan, Skip is a graduate of the University of Colorado, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business and an MBA.

AndyCaler

Andy Caler, Utility Program Manager, joined Energy Outreach in early 2014. His background in energy ranges from auditing single-family homes to managing large efficiency and renewable energy projects. His focus on low-income programs results from his time working on the Weatherization Assistance Program for the Department of Energy and Colorado Energy Office. Andy is a graduate of the University of Kansas, where he received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Outside of work, he enjoys taking advantage of both city and mountain life with his family and friends.

Amy Day joined Energy Outreach Colorado in 2014. As Development and Digital Engagement Director, she oversees EOC's fundraising efforts, including annual giving, major gifts, direct mail, planned giving and special events. Her career in non-profits began at the University of Colorado where she was the president of the student run non-profit AIESEC (International Association of Students in Business and Economics). She most recently worked for the Dumb Friends League, where she was responsible for growing the organization's multi-channel fundraising and digital marketing programs. Amy has a B.S. in marketing from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Rich Duston joined Energy Outreach Colorado in November 2016 as project manager of the Crisis Intervention Program. He is a certified residential energy auditor with a background in home energy performance improvement. A graduate of Regis University, Rich also is a member of the performing arts nonprofit world, where he is executive director of the Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra, as well as a working musician and teacher in the Denver area. Above all he enjoys spending time with his family.

Ashley Feiertag, Director of State Programs, has been with Energy Outreach Colorado since 2010. Her background is in real estate and construction management, and she worked as a project manager for a general contractor for 10 years. She enjoys playing outside, skiing, hiking, tennis, and spending time with her family.

JG Body Shot final

Jennifer Gremmert is Deputy Director of Energy Outreach Colorado and is responsible for program management and advocacy activities for the organization.  Previously, Ms. Gremmert worked for numerous nonprofit organizations including Urban Peak, a shelter for homeless youth, the national office of Junior Achievement in Colorado Springs, Up With People, the University of Arizona and the University of California system.  Ms. Gremmert received her Masters of Nonprofit Management from Regis University and her undergraduate degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of Arizona.  Ms. Gremmert currently serves on the Advisory Board for the National Energy and Utility Assistance Coalition and on the Governor’s Commission on Low-Income Energy Assistance in Colorado.

 Meg Final

Meg Griffin, Energy Behavior Change Program Manager, joined EOC in August 2017. Her professional background includes nonprofit program management, state grants management and architecture. She also served with AmeriCorps. Meg grew up in Colorado and earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado Boulder and a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver. In her free time she loves to spend time with family, friends and her dog, exploring new places in Colorado and beyond.

Jenna

Jenna Harmon, Utility Program Assistant, originally joined EOC in September 2016 as the Urban Servant Corps volunteer.  She graduated in May 2016 from Pacific Lutheran University with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and minors in Nonprofit Leadership and Religion.  In her free time, she loves getting up to the mountains to hike, ski, climb, and trail run.

Michael Harris

Michael Harris, Residential Program Manager, joined the Energy Outreach team in the summer of 2015.  Before coming to EOC, Michael worked on a wide range of sustainability initiatives, from energy and water efficiency to urban gardens.  Michael spent four years working for Foundation Communities, an affordable housing non-profit, based in Austin, TX managing their sustainability initiatives. Michael holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin in Geography in the Environment. When he is not at work, you’ll find him out on the trail appreciating the natural beauty of Colorado.

Enrique Hernandez has recently joined the EOC team as Manager of the Utility Assistance Program. He worked for almost a decade in the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP), overseeing the application process and developing program policy. Before that, he served four years in the US Army. He earned his BA in Philosophy from Nyack College and is a fan of good comedy. He enjoys spending weekends hiking and road tripping with his wife and two sons. Enrique is excited to be part of an organization that strongly advocates for the most vulnerable in our community.

Kelli Hirsch, major gifts and grants manager, joined Energy Outreach Colorado in 2015. Previously she was a fundraiser for the Denver Dumb Friends League and the American Composer's Forum in St. Paul, Minnesota. Her educational background is rooted in classical music with a degree in French Horn Performance from Hastings College. She continues her musical endeavors by playing in the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra and in the woodwind quintet Gossamer Winds. Outside of work Kelli enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, attending musical events and exploring our beautiful state. Kelli and her husband invested in a geothermal heating and cooling system for their home and are hoping to install solar panels to increase their home's energy efficiency. She looks forward to helping promote and provide energy efficient programs and assistance to families throughout Colorado.

Peggy Hofstra, Marketing Director, has been with Energy Outreach since 2003. She has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Drake University and an MBA from the University of Colorado at Denver. Luke Ilderton

Luke Ilderton, Director of Energy Efficiency Programs, is an engineer who specializes in renewable energy and energy efficiency projects focused on the under-served, low-income population of Colorado. Luke consulted for EOC for several years before joining the team in December 2009. He has a BA in History and Religious Studies from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and a BS in Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. He enjoys any recreational activity in Colorado’s beautiful mountains!

Max final

Maxwell Kaye, Originally hailing from Connecticut, joined EOC in 2017 as Residential Programs Assistant. His background includes single family energy audits in Boston, MA and enclosure consulting on new multi-family construction in Houston, TX. He majored in Environmental Studies at Vassar College.  Outside of work he enjoys hiking, mountain biking and sailing.

Katharine Keenan joined EOC in early 2015 as Utility Assistance Program Assistant. Prior to that, she worked briefly as a temp in EOC’s Development department. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than a decade. She holds a bachelor’s degree in French from Oberlin College. In her spare time, she likes running, hiking, yoga, and working in her plot at the Englewood Community Garden.

Brooke Pike joined Energy Outreach Colorado in the summer of 2015 as the NEEP Project Manager. Brooke holds a BS Business Administration and a MA in Sustainable Development. She has worked on energy efficiency programs for five years and is excited work with the nonprofit organizations participating in NEEP. Brooke loves to be with her family and friends, travel, camp, and drink good coffee.

Rose Reed, Administrative Services Director, has been with Energy Outreach Colorado since 2002. Her background is in budgeting, accounting and office administration. She enjoys boating, sports and spending time with her friends and family - especially her grandchildren.

Tess Richey, Annual Giving Manager, joined EOC in November 2015. Tess manages EOC's direct mail and online donor engagement programs. Before coming to EOC, Tess worked in programs and development for the national association of service and conservation corps in Washington, DC. She earned a B.S. in Natural Resource Management from Colorado State University (go Rams!) and is an AmeriCorps VISTA alumni who served as a crew leader for a conservation corps program in New Mexico. In her spare time, she enjoys building and restoring furniture, hiking and taking advantage of all of the great outdoor adventures that Colorado has to offer.

Val EOC Pix

Valerie Rick, Weatherization Program Coordinator, joined EOC in January of 2014.  She has a degree in Musical Theatre Performance from American Music and Dramatic academy in NYC.  She and her husband moved to Denver and opened a coffee shop that ran until 2010.  Then, for the past 4 years, she became the lead singer of a very busy Denver-based funk/dance band.  In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family, write and record original music, and sing at small clubs with her guitar/vocal duo.

Laura

Laura Rickhoff, Energy Efficiency Program Assistant, joined the organization in July 2016. Laura has a background in marketing and non-profit administration, as well as a passion for advancing sustainable initiatives for local non-profits. She has worked with several state and city programs, including the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment's Environmental Leadership Program and Denver's Certifiably Green Denver program. Laura holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is a Denver native. An avid endurance runner, Laura, her family and dog also spend as much time as possible in the mountains.

Doug

Doug Staggs joined EOC as a program assistant in October 2016 after 14 years of experience working with Colorado nonprofits. He brings a specialization in grants management and research to EOC, where he works with the Crisis Intervention Program for emergency furnace repair and with home energy efficiency programs. Doug holds an M.A. in English Literature from Southern Illinois University and enjoys live music and the beauty of Colorado.

Claire Stencel, Administrative Assistant, joined Energy Outreach in 2012. Her background is in Journalism and English, and she has volunteered and worked with several non-profits since graduating from the University of Denver. Claire spends her free time traveling, reading, drawing, writing, sewing and enjoying time with friends.

 Marna

Marna Steuart, Controller, joined EOC in 2016.  Marna has an extensive Audit and Accounting background, including two different stints at Big Four accounting firms.  Marna has worked in several different capacities within several different industries.  She has five years of experience with Xcel Energy as an Audit Consultant and most recently was a Rate/Financial Analyst with the Colorado Public Utilities Commission.  She holds an active CPA license, along with a CFE and CIDA licenses.  Marna, a native of Colorado enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her family and friends doing a multitude of activities, including cross country skiing, climbing 14ers, tennis, swimming and yoga.

Brady

Brady Wilmer joined Energy Outreach Colorado in September 2017 as a 12-month volunteer with Urban Servant Corp. He will be supporting EOC’s Energy Behavior Change Program. Brady grew up in Minnesota and earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota. Previously he worked as an HVAC system engineer, primarily with large corporate buildings and high efficiency projects. In his free time he enjoys exploring the Denver area on his bike and reading comic books.
