EOC receives generous financial support to assist with high energy bill payments

Energy Outreach Colorado (EOC) is pleased to announce that it has received $1,010,000.00 from a coalition of energy industry partners to support the impact of recent critically high energy costs on vulnerable households. This commitment comes at a time of unprecedented need and will help EOC provide bill payment assistance to more families.

 

Coalition partners and their contributions:

Xcel Energy – $500,000
PDC Energy – $300,000
Atmos Energy – $75,000
Occidental Petroleum (Oxy) – $50,000
Colorado Oil & Gas Association (COGA) – $25,000
Civitas Resources – $25,000
Liberty Energy – $25,000
DCP Midstream – $10,000

Total:  $1,010,000.00

For the week ending February 19, 2023, the HEAT HELP (866-432-8435) energy assistance line received 11,147 urgent calls from Coloradans with unaffordable utility bills. EOC processed 631 applications for bill payment assistance and distributed $506,285.85 that same week.
