Energy Outreach Colorado Begins CARE Community Program in Elyria Swansea Neighborhood
Denver, CO – March 4, 2019 – Energy Outreach Colorado (EOC) in partnership with Denver Economic Development and Opportunity, is providing energy efficiency installations for qualifying households in the Elyria Swansea neighborhood that are located in the impact zone of the Central-70 highway construction project.
EOC began working in Elyria Swansea in 2017 with funding from the City of Denver and CDOT providing over 280 homes with health and safety energy upgrades to help make them more secure from dust and noise that could prove to be harmful. These enhancements have the potential to also provide a decrease in utility costs for occupants.
With this new funding, the EOC CARE Community Program will install a suite of improvements that may include air sealing, insulation, thermostats, and evaporative coolers. Participants must complete an application and qualify for these services, and live between 44th to 45th and 47th and 48th, from Brighton Blvd. to Colorado Blvd. Owners and renters are both eligible; if accepted, all services are free.
To apply, contact Energy Outreach Colorado at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 303-226-7067.
