Income-qualifying households may qualify for free heating repairs or replacements.
Energy Outreach Colorado’s Crisis Intervention Program (CIP) provides free home furnace repairs and/or replacements for qualified low-income households statewide.
In partnership with the Department of Human Services and LEAP, CIP supports vulnerable households like seniors, veterans, disabled persons, and low-income families who struggle to afford the cost to fix their furnace.
Since October 2018, CIP has made 715 furnace repairs and has replaced 371 furnaces. Without this help many of these participants would be living through our cold winter weather without heat.
Energy Outreach Colorado has been a leading expert on issues impacting low-income energy consumers for 30 years. Through strong public and private partnerships, the statewide nonprofit has raised and leveraged millions of dollars to reduce energy costs and usage for low-income Coloradans.
EOC believes that no one should live in a home without heat. Call the CIP Help Line to apply at: 855-469-4328. Or visit our website at www.energyoutreachcolorado.org.
