LEAP
 

The Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) helps needy Coloradoans pay their winter utility bills from November 1st through April 30th. Energy Outreach Colorado and the federal government provide funds to LEAP, which is administered by the Colorado Department of Human Services.

You may* quality if:

  • Your family household income falls within 185% of the federal poverty level guidelines
  • You pay home heating costs to an energy provider or as part of your rent
  • You are a permanent and legal resident of the United States and Colorado

Applications are accepted from November 1 through April 30.  You can download a LEAP application from here.

Please return your completed application along with the necessary documents to your county LEAP office and NOT to Energy Outreach Colorado. Click here to find your county LEAP office.
