Do you or someone you know need a head start on managing winter heating
bills?
Come to a free Energy Assistance Expo on Friday, Oct. 26, at Denver
Human Services,
1200 Federal Boulevard.
The fourth-annual event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Representatives from
Energy Outreach Colorado, Colorado LEAP, Xcel Energy, Denver Human
Services and the Governor’s Energy Office will help fill out LEAP
applications and answer questions about energy assistance, bill payment
arrangements, home weatherization services and energy saving tips. Free
parking is available in the Denver Human Services parking facility.
You must bring proof of income, a valid ID, social security numbers for
all household members and a recent energy bill in order to apply. No
funding will be distributed at the event. The LEAP program opens
November 1st and runs through April. Energy Outreach Colorado provides
energy assistance funding year-round.
