New leader continues Energy Outreach Colorado's commitment to low-income households

As Jennifer Gremmert assumes her new role this week as Energy Outreach Colorado’s executive director, she is focused on increasing our capacity to improve the well-being of low-income Colorado households.

She knows first-hand the positive impact we make when we ensure that a vulnerable senior or family with children has access to warmth and light in their home. Building upon the 20 years of experience she’s already had at EOC, most recently as deputy director, her vision is to expand that impact so that these homes are safer, healthier and more comfortable.

“Our organization started with the core mission of raising funds to help pay overdue home energy bills for Coloradans, and has expanded to also providing longer-term solutions to affordability such as weatherization and energy education,” she said. “Every time we come in contact with a household, we want to provide as much assistance as possible to improve their well-being.”

Over the past 28 years, Energy Outreach Colorado has become a leading expert on issues affecting low-income consumers. We provide information to lawmakers and regulators  making decisions about our state’s energy policies, which has helped generate millions of dollars to reduce energy usage and costs for low-income Coloradans.

With Jennifer at the helm, we look forward to building upon the good work that we’ve already accomplished.
