... “My 6-year-old, special needs child can rely on music and dim lighting to stay calm.”

Sheena’s challenge:

Undetected water leaks in Sheena’s Pueblo home resulted in a huge water bill. To cover that unexpectedly large payment and repairs, she had to put off paying her home energy bill. Then she received a notice that she needed to pay $360 or her home energy would be disconnected. An agency that helps with her special needs child told her about the energy bill payment assistance funded by Energy Outreach Colorado. She was relieved to be able to catch up on her bill and maintain electricity in her home.

What happened:

“Our energy bill will remain on! My family and I thank you!”

How Coloradans helped:

Coloradans are very generous when it comes to helping their neighbors in need. Energy Outreach Colorado is fortunate to be supported by many caring individuals and organizations who want to help vulnerable families, the elderly, and people with special needs stay warm in their homes.
