Providing Colorado’s Energy Safety Net is Energy Outreach Colorado's Mission

Limited-income families and individuals across all 64 of Colorado’s diverse counties depend on Energy Outreach Colorado to be their energy safety net.

If they are behind on paying their home energy bill, EOC can pay a portion of their overdue bill directly to their energy provider. Last year EOC funded 19,177 bill payments to 236 vendors who provided eight types of home energy fuel to Colorado seniors and families – natural gas, electricity, propane, coal, firewood, fuel oil, fuel pellets and kerosene. EOC partnered with more than 100 local assistance agencies across the state whose case managers handled applications and payment authorizations.

Thanks to the generous individuals and organizations that provide ongoing support for Energy Outreach Colorado’s mission of helping all Coloradans afford home energy, EOC invested a total of $8.2 million to keep limited-income families warm and safe in their homes.
