Join us Oct. 30 for a FREE movie screening!

Energy Outreach Colorado is hosting FREE public screenings of the Emmy-nominated documentary, “American Winter,” at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30 at Regis University in Denver.

The film follows the stories of several American families who were impacted by budget cuts to social services, a shrinking middle class, and the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. It was directed by Emmy award-winning filmmakers Joe and Harry Gantz (Taxicab Confessions, The Defenders).

The screenings are open to the public and will be held at Regis’ Claver Hall. A reception with refreshments and prizes will be held between screenings from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Each screening will be followed by a panel discussions with Guest Speakers Harry Gantz, Co-Director of American Winter |  Jennifer Gremmert, Deputy Director of Energy Outreach Colorado | Monique Lovato, Executive Director, National Energy and Utility Affordability Coalition | Lauren McClanahan, Program Services Manager, Office of Family and Community Engagement, Denver Public Schools & Alex Monk, WIA Program Manager Denver Public Schools | Fermin Avila, Mile High United Way, 2-1-1 Operations Manager.
