The Colorado Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) provides energy
assistance from November 1 through April 30. It is administered
through the state Department of Human Services and distributes federal
funding appropriated through Congress. EOC also typically
contributes to LEAP to increase the average benefit per household in
Colorado.
Energy Outreach Colorado encourages people to apply for the federal
funds first before seeking assistance through EOC's partner assistance
agencies. Once LEAP stops accepting applications on May 1,
EOC-funded agencies are the only source of energy assistance throughout
the spring and summer until the next federal funding cycle begins in
November.
To receive an application for LEAP assistance, please click
here or call toll-free at 1-866-HEAT-HELP (1-866-432-8435).
Please return your completed application along with the necessary
documents to a county LEAP office and NOT to Energy Outreach Colorado.
